Jim Morrison serves as President and C.E.O. of Sexy Hair. Under his leadership, the company increased revenue by $20 million, launched in over 10 countries, and entered into the world of high-profile consumer advertising.  Morrison is also credited for getting the Sexy Hair brand name out by using celebrity advertising.  Using mostly music industry stars in their ads, for better or worse Sexy Hair has made a definite impact in the beauty industry.  American Idol alums Katherine McPhee and Kellie Pickler have both been in numerous Sexy Hair ads. While his name may bring to mind images of drug induced rock ‘n’ roll, this Jim Morrison is a far cry from the rock legend. Using highly airbrushed images of reality TV pop stars to market Sexy Hair as a rock ‘n’ roll beauty brand, Jim has created a line of products that most hair stylists wouldn’t  be caught DEAD using. From women who go grey naturally to those that are coloring it, silver-hued locks are becoming a fashion scene staple. Will women be going to the salon and asking for “grey-lights” instead of high-lights?  Will you have to worry about your non-grey roots coming in?  Although I don’t see this happening in the near future, there definitely seems to be a silver-haired trend going on.  Daphne Selfe, the oldest working model in the UK,  has been seen in campaigns ranging from Dolce & Gabbana to Gap.  Most recently she modeled at London Fashion Week Spring 2010 for the clothing line Sykes. Carmen Dell’Orefice is also no stranger to the fashion world.  She has been modeling since her debut in Vogue magazine at the age of 15, but became more of a main stream name later in her career. After her hair turned grey.  She can be seen in Rolex ads world wide. One of the younger woman in the naturally grey group is super model Kristen McMenamy.  Recently, Italian Vogue dedicated over 31 pages to this grey-haired beauty.  The title says it all…”The Legend” Now of course the younger generation wants to get in on the trend.  Both pop star P!nk
